Norton 650ss Cafe Racer motorcycle, 1961 with Mick Hemmings race engine and gearbox.

The bike is registered in the UK on SORN. Comes complete with original log book and registration documents from 1961, first registered in Austria.

Norton 650SS Cafe that I have had for a few years. Bike is not fully assembled as per the pics, the assembled pics was with the original engine included in the sale.

It was running with the engine you see in the pictures fully built. I have a Hemmings built race engine and Hemmings built close ratio gearbox.

I took the bike apart but I have not had the time to put it all back together.
The Hemmings engine is in the frame with the standard gearbox. Everything is there with an extra engine and CR gearbox. All parts included, carbs, ignition, brakes levers, pedals, lights, seat, tank fenders, race mag, etc. Everything is there, including the spare 650ss matching engine and gearbox, which matches the frame numbers.
The tank is a beautiful alloy with matching leather seat and alloy seat hump as per the fully built pictures.
The frame has been widened to take a wider tyre at the back.

4 leading Grimeca up front included.
The commando brake in the picture was sold.
Race Mag.
Both engines run an open belt primary with newby clutch.

The buyer will have an amazing bike. The Hemmings engine and CR gearbox should make this a full on race bike or a stonking road bike with the standard gearbox. Choice is all yours.
