ROYAL SIGNALS SHOULDER SATCHEL
British Army webbing side bag, extra heavy-duty signals satchel used for the military radios during the war, and in green up to the 1960s.
Available in either khaki or green. Very limited stocks.
This bag (in khaki) was supplied to the Star Wars costume designers from our vast stocks of military kit. This bag was supplied by Silvermans and adapted for the film, worn by the lead character Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Supergrade is very good condition.
Grade 1 is used with marks from use and storage for up to 70 years but without damage.
Grade 2 is battle condition, which have damage and markings on the bag but still perfectly useable to recreate the bag worn by Rey. Will be grubby and have repairable damage.
1. Khaki is either wartime dated or non-dated. Non-dated are probably post-war but may be wartime just without dates.
2. Green is post-wartime, 1950s or 1960s. Some may have dates on them. Either Supergrade or Grade 1.
3. As these are now up to and over 70 years old, condition is Grade 1 good used condition but will be a bit grubby from storage over so many years. May also have a name written on them. They will, however, last another 70 years+.
Canvas webbing material, very hard-wearing. So tough, will virtually never wear out. Secures with a strap and buckle at the front and has a sling shoulder strap. The inside is lined with a cotton material and was used to carry field radios and headsets.
Exact satchel may vary from the pictures shown in terms of condition and markings. If you have a special request or questions, please let us know.
