ALTBERG WARRIOR BROWN BOOTS
UK SIZE:5
Lightweight, rreathable combat boot in UK MoD spec brown (multicam/MTP compatible).
The Warrior Original / Microlite (brown) is Altberg's best-selling lightweight combat boot. The boot is Cambrelle-lined, non-waterproof, ultra breathable, with excellent drying out properties.
The big advantage of Cambrelle-lined boots is that they are much cooler in summer conditions, and in very wet conditions, where it is inevitable that water will enter the boot, they can be worn with waterproof socks (Sealskinz Merino Wool). Once off the foot, the Warrior Microlite will dry out so that it is damp (rather than wet).
Many soldiers find that a significant drawback with boots that have a waterproof liner is that, once wet inside, they remain much wetter, and heavier, for longer.
Internal dimensions of the boot enable a Sealskinz type sock to be worn in extreme situations.
The Warrior boot has been used on operational deployment worldwide, from Bosnia and Sierra Leone to the Highlands of Afghanistan and the Falklands. The microlite sole has good shock absorption, and the 2.2 - 2.4 mm leather - combined with the unique Altberg Tri-flex midsole - give first class protection and support to the foot in a wide range of environments.
- Leather: water-repellent, Anfibio full grain leather 2.2 - 2.4 mm 1st grade European hide
- Lining: Cambrelle breathable and more rapid drying, non waterproof
- Midsole: individually moulded for each size to give correct support / flex
- Sole: Vibram Masai and micro cushion midlayer and full rubber abrasion resistant rand
- Approx weight: 727g (size 9)
- Height: 22.2cm (size 9, including heel)
