ARMY ISSUE CUSHION SOLE SOCKS

I needed some heavy duty padded socks for work and these socks fitted the bill. Look and feel great.

To be supplied to the Armed Forces they have to be designated 9001, NOT the 16-digit number which looks pretty random. That's the only reason I left 1 star off.
Having said that, I'd class them as "Army identical" as they have the same fibre mix ~ 70% wool so very warm yet your feet don't sweat, + 30% nylon which makes them virtually impossible to wear out. & they are the same weight as Army socks when I got them out of the packet, so the same quantity of fibre & density of weave. So I'm confident they'll perform the same. (Got 30 years of hard use out of my last lot, & only managed to wreck them in the end by moving to where I constantly got sand in my boots, which ground holes in the heels after 3 years of that.) I buy my boots 2 sizes too big so I can wear 2 pairs of these + a pair of Royal Navy seaboot socks on top, & that gets me to sea OK in sub~zero with never having cold feet. Yep they're the biz.

They do what they say on the tin - wool-rich cushion socks, army issue with NATO stock number. These are very comfy and last a long time, and they're very reasonably priced. Pretty much all I want from a sock.
