WELL MADE QUALITY ITEM =THE REAL DEAL NOT CHAEP PLASTIC RUBBISH.

WELL YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR & THIS IS MADE IN BRITAIN FROM A WORLD RENOWN FIRM. I COULD NOT BUY THE WATCH ATTACHMENT AS IT WAS FOR 20MM STRAPS & MINE ARE 16MM. SO I GOT THE "resilient Nylon 12A material" HOLDER FOR ZIPPERS & HAVE IT TIED AROUND MY NECK 24/7. THAT SOUNDS EXTREME BUT LAST TIME I CHECKED 'DISASTERS',SHTF,ETC NEVER GIVE YOU ADVANCED NOTICE AS A RULE. & I WANT TO FIND IT WHEN I NEED IT . I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE NYLON ZIPPER HOLDER AS IT LOOKS & FEELS REALLY TOUGH. JUST TO BE SAFER = I BOUGHT TWO SURVIVAL BUTTON COMPASSES & ZIPPER HOLDERS =THE SECOND TO BE ATTACHED ELSEWHERE. IT WAS A BIT SMALLER THAN I ANTICIPATED BUT THATS TO MAKE IT EASIER TO SWALLOW OR HIDE FOR REAL 'ESCAPE & EVASION' BUT THE MAIN THING IS WORKS GREAT & LUMINOUS N & S IS CLEARLY VISIBLE IN THE DARK. I AM SO HAPPY THAT I BOUGHT TWO = PEACE OF MIND(YOU WOULD RATHER HAVE THIS THAN £100 IF YOU BREAK OR LOSE YOUR BIG COMPASS & GET LOST) & REALLY NICE TO OWN A PIECE OF BRITISH HISTORY.

Nato survival compass

This compass is so simple it's a thing of beauty. The size of your thumb yet it could save your life anywhere in the world. No map? No problem, your survival compass will get you home, or to a place of safety..

Tiny miracle?

Been wanting one a long while. Having been in touch with Francis Barker, they reassured me that they were restocking their suppliers. Do bear in mind, this instrument is tiny, BUT instrument it is. There are two luminous dots for N as well as the red arrow marker, so it is clearly delineated from S. The needle is also very sensitive, picking up and returning to N easily. As a back-up, this could be vital and its weight is negligible, so there would be no excuse for not carrying it. Quality and utility in a minuscule package.

Ideal for me but a tad pricey.

As a keen cyclist I often find myself travelling in unfamiliar places, on and off road. With no smartphone and GPS, just an old school paper map, I'm sometimes not sure if I'm going in the right direction. I will now, with this conveniently attached to my watch strap.
