Got the later version earlier in the year and took a chance on the American made version despite the possible problems in the description.
This is slightly shorter in the body but better for me and no issues with corrosion.

Very good quality piece of kit, just what is needed to enable layering in poor weather of all descriptions. Only criticism is that the hood didn’t have a wired peak although my sons did ( mine a L his a M ). This makes a big difference if you wear glasses. On the plus side the L had a giant map pocket, unusual now in branded stuff.
A smart, clean jacket in excellent condition with only signs of wear on the front zip toggle and odd threads caught on the Velcro front closure. I ordered the medium size and it fits well (my chest size is between 36 and 38) and the fitting allows for several layers of clothing underneath. The first thing I did was to give it a machine wash with tech wash followed by a waterproofing wash to ensure the goretex works well. Although not tested in wet conductor yet I have every confidence that this will keep me dry. Worth the relatively modest cost.
