I spent some time looking for a utilitarian but aesthetically striking watch. Eventually I stumbled upon the CWC GS Sapphire. I'm not a fan of dates on watches, so seeing that it was available in a 'no date' variant, I was sold. When the watch arrived, I wasn't disappointed. It has a simple and timeless elegance to it but is quite clearly robust. It has become my everyday watch.

On top of this, the service I received from Silvermans was fantastic. I was kept fully informed of the delivery schedule, the watch was packaged well, and even had a handwritten card of authenticity. On top of this, it was also set to the correct time for me. I've bought some very expensive watches before and never have they arrived set to the correct time.

Very good. I have compaired these to my other sunglasses including my AO American Optical pair. These are equally as good. The lenses are quite bright looking through them with very good contrast and are still bright even indoors (low light). The lenses have a slight downward (inward) slope, so they don't leave a big gap at the bottom - very good design. The lenses were a little dirty but I breathed on them a few times and wiped with soft tissue and were then perfect. Picture shows what looks like scratches but it ISN'T, it's just some grease marks showing up on the photo . . . sorry about that.

These are the same quality as issues. Great for having a few spare for inspection and your Bergen. Great service too.

I’d been after a decent field type watch for a while, I had tried to find a nice Mellor style one but the WR always held me back as I need something that I can just get wet and not worry about. The G40 with the 200m and the sapphire crystal seemed like a no brainer so I pondered for a while.

Now I’ve finally got it I couldn’t be happier. The case size is just about right, maybe slightly on the larger side but I’m happy. The lume is good and works well for my needs.

The watch itself seems really well made and I don’t foresee any issues. Silvermans delivered very quickly and the watch was packaged really well.

My last “issue”’watch was a Pulsar G10 I got back when I was in the RN and by comparison it was quite small. I gifted that to my father and this now fills that gap nicely.

Smart enough for smart, smart enough for casual, a good all rounder and I’m very pleased.

This is an excellent version of a British gas mask bag. It is well made with all the correct fittings etc.

Whether you're buying these to wear or as a collector of militaria, you'll not be disappointed. These are a sturdy well made item, which also look good should you choose to wear them. The lenses are also of a pretty high standard. My pair was made in 1977 and it was like opening a time capsule when I cut open the plastic wrapping. The price isn't too bad, either, when you can see well used pairs selling for over £100 on collector's web sites. I put my pair into a more modern/practical plastic case for day to day use.

Very classic looking as are all the G10 watches. Very clear watch face, easy to read . I went for the option of no date on the face, you can choose to have the date,.The strap is easy to change ,so you can have different straps for different events.It’s just like the old issue watches but all black.
As with the brilliant service from Silvermans, it came really quickly with very good packaging and a nice little touch, the warranty card already filled out in my name and the watch set up in the box.

This is exactly what is used on mrk6, mrk7 and para helmets to secure the camo cover and/or the scrim net.
Plus super fast delivery and excellent customer service.

Just what I wanted great fit excellent quality

I bought the CWC GS Sapphire to replace a much loved Seiko MOD watch which finally gave up after 25+ years. I like the GS because it has a similar no-nonsense utilitarian look and appears very well made. Quite a small(ish) watch by some modern standards, the GS Sapphire fits nicely with casual clothes but looks fine with formal clothes too. The improvements to expected battery life and water resistance are very welcome too. First class service by Silvermans, who despatched the watch by secure carrier and which arrived the next day, with the correct time & date set. (Nice touch - Thanks!) So I'm very pleased with the watch and expect it to serve me very well for many years.
