Silvermans

Bought the next size up as advised and they fit perfectly on my waist. Thought they’d be a bit more generous in the length but then not so many WW2 era servicemen were 6’4” so my legs are a bit on the long side. Pleased with the quality and very comfortable to wear. My current favourite pair of shorts.

Very pleased with these. Brand new from 1966…beautiful quality. Clipped onto my existing prescription round lens old school spectacles like they were custom made. If you have traditional ‘granny’ style glasses these are a must have.

Outstanding well made strap, good choice of colours available. I have recently purchased two of these straps Green and Gray to alternate when the mood takes me.

I love these little bags. I came across one many years ago when first buying odd bits of military surplus, that was in cosmetically not great condition, had no shoulder strap and not especially valuable, so I did a camo spray paint job on it, which looks great and it houses a sniper scrim set I use out in the field. Now, I found these excellent condition post war dated examples available in the Silverman's sale and had to buy one! It's in really fantastic condition, if a bit musty and heavy on that 'mil surp' pong!! But after a gentle clean it's improved a bit.
Very strong, hugely durable and infinitely useful as a small day bag with pedigree! The green ones look great, (one is dated 1945) although those earlier sand/khaki ones, (which cost a fortune!) are the holy grail to find in good nick.
Fast service from Silverman's and at that price, not a terrible extravagance for a bag that has style and interest, will be used a lot and out last me by many decades!!
NB: '58 pattern water bottle and mug....and small cat shown for scale only.....as far as I know, Silverman's don't sell surplus cats.

Impressed with the quality of these armbands, which arrived promptly. I have not had the chance to try them out (on the road) just yet, as I have not ridden at night recently. I purchased them for winter use, and I anticipate that they will be quite useful then, when I will be in the dark rather more.

I bought a 3xl size of these trousers but I had vastly overestimated the size I needed. I returned them as per the instructions on the website and requested a 2xl size. This pair was also too large so I completed a 2nd return. A 1xl pair were sent back to me which are a perfect size. At all times my correspondence with Silverman's was polite,quick and to the pont. I offered to pay any extra postage for the 2nd delivery but was not charged for this. I could not be happier with the service I have received and will definitely be shopping here again. Well done Silverman's and especially Rachel in your office this is what good customer relations should look like.

Look good, well made and sturdy. Good value for money.

They do what they say on the tin - wool-rich cushion socks, army issue with NATO stock number. These are very comfy and last a long time, and they're very reasonably priced. Pretty much all I want from a sock.

Excellent apron. Ties are long enough to go around a fairly big tummy. The 2 rows of pockets are not something I've seen before and are very very useful. Bargain price too !
